It's really overwhelming for someone to receive a tweet especially from a well known singer such as Jennifer Hudson. That might be what Jessica Sanchez felt when she received a tweet from Jennifer Hudson. When Jessica Sanchez took the stage and perform the Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" - she got a cheer from the famous Jennifer Hudson. She then tweeted "Yes Jessica! That's it!" Jessica learned about it and had an emotional reaction.
"Me and my uncle were in the same room when we saw the Tweet and we were like, crying and freaking out," Jessica told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman, backstage after last night's show. "She's one of my idols. It's crazy." When asked why she chose the song "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston, she answered, "I was very confident of my choice at first because I was like, 'Everyone knows this song, it'll go good, whatever. I've been singing this song my whole life,'""But then I started realizing it's like one of the biggest songs.... But it really did pay off. I'm really happy." As for the standing ovation from the audience, Jessica said she was so caught up in the moment she didn't really notice what was going on. "I didn't see it coming -everybody did amazing tonight," she said. "I'm so grateful and I'm just so happy and I'm just living in the moment right now."
As a Filipina, I'm was so proud about what our kababayan has reached. Thinking about what Jennifer Hudson tweeted Jessica Sanchez gives me the chills.
Oh my! This video is really funny, just proves how fanatic the Filipino Gay Community to beauty pageants such as the recently concluded Miss Universe 2010 are. I was shocked to see these gay people laughed and cried at the same time because of excitement when the host announced that Miss Philippines Venus Raj is one of the top 15 candidates. Felt na felt ng mga hitad ang mga kaganapan sa tv LOL. Kalurkey! For them and for the entire Filipino people, panalo ka pa rin Miss Venus Raj! It's just so unfortunate she wasn't able to give the best answer on the question and answer portion but nevertheless, we know you did your best and for most of us, that would be enough.
I still can't get over the Quirino Grandstand Hostage Taking and whenever I recall what happened, I can't help but feel sorry for the family of the Hong Kong nationals who just came here in the Philippines just to have fun. The bus was supposed to take the tourists for a tour in Intramuros Manila when a uniformed man after the name Capt. Rolando Mendoza, dismissed police officer took over the bus in front of the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park. Capt. Mendoza took the tourists as hostages as he demanded to be reinstated with benefits to his previous post at the Manila Police District from which he had been dismissed for extortion in 2009. He also wants the ombudsman to change his decision from guilty to not guilty, in reference to his extortion case. I can't help but imagine myself being one of the hostages inside the bus as it could be anybody's ballgame. Just recently, me and my friends in the office are talking about our plans of going for a trip to Hong Kong next year - I can't help but wonder what if this thing happened in Hong Kong and we are the one's riding in that bus. I guess I would panic,
I'm not really a glee fan but I know a couple of friends who love it! And now since Glee Season 2 is a much awaited event here in the Philippines, I got curious and bought a dvd copy of the first season. Gless is an American musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox in the United States. It focuses on a high school glee club called "New Directions", at the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. Medyo pangbagets pero funny ang humor and wit ng director ha in fairness. Glee season 2 premiere will house the songs of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Steve Perry, Aerosmith and Billy Joel.
Goodbye to boring Sunday afternoon as TV5 just recently launched their new variety show that would match abs-cbn's ASAP and gma 7's Party Pilipinas. The show is entitled PO5 or Party On Five would be TV5's newest show which is hosted by Lucy Torres-Gomez, Ryan Agoncillo, JC De Vera, John Estrada and Alex Gonzaga. It is a game musical variety show that would definitely rock our Sunday afternoon. What I love about the pilot episode was the dancing competition between former child superstars Lady Lee and LA Lopez. Lucy Torres incorporates the concept of her former show "Shall We Dance" on the said segment. I love how the bubbly IC Mendoza and Rufa Mi interviewed their tv viewers at home. What I love most about this show is that Ryan Agoncillo hosts the said program which gave the show a touch of class. Since I saw the pilot episode of PO5, I immediately became a fan!
I really love TV5 shows especially the four all new Koreanovelas namely "My Wife is a Superwoman", "First Wives Club". "Smile Honey", and "High Kick" and the newest show of Amy Perez "Face to Face" which is the pinoy version of my favorite "The Jerry Springer Show" of Solar TV. Paganda ng paganda indeed ang shows ng TV5.
Goodluck to Kapatid Network and more power to TV5!
You can Watch Clash of the Titans Online or you can watch it in the cinemas!
I was so pissed when I purchased a pirated dvd in Munoz for the movie Clash of the Titans. He said that it is already in DVD copy which gives me the impression that the copy is clear. I got so excited so I hurriedly bought one. I took a nap for one hour so I could at least rest a while, in that way I could understand the movie clearly and the moment my hubby pushed the play button on our dvd player... I lost my interest. Well, yup it is true, the movie was already on DVD copy - but the Clash of the Titans Movie that is in there was the 1981 version. Urrgggh! I hate it! I was tricked!!!! I hate Manong!!! Well, it really pays to watch quality movies in theaters. I swear from now on, no more pirated dvd for me. I'll gonna watch the movie tomorrow with my hubby at SM North Edsa. Were actually thinking of watching it in IMAX theater but I have learned
I don't know why this song "Baby" by Justine Bieber continues to be the number one song for three consecutive weeks now (March 28-April 03). I really feel that the song is so simple and so "ordinary" but I don't know why so many people go gaga over this song. Actually, my hubby sings that almost everyday so through my subliminal mind was able to adopt the melody and the lyrics which makes me sing the same tune over and over again in the shower - last song syndrome huh. LOL. I also can't help but laugh when I saw the video on myx the other night, it was a very simple "teenager type" of romance which reminds me of the 80's era. To all Justine Bieber fans out there, here's Justin Bieber's "Baby" video with lyrics. Enjoy!
BABY
Justine Bieber ft. Ludacris
oh woahh, oh woahh, oh woahhh
You know you love me
I know you care
And I would never, not be there
You are my love
You are my heart
And we would never, ever, ever be apart
Are we an item?
Girl quit playin'
We're just friends,
What are you sayin'
Take another look right in my eyes
My first love, broke my heart for the first time
And now I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I thought you'd always be mine (mine)
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I thought you'd always be mine
For you, I would have done whatever
and no i can't believe we're not together
And I'm gonn' play it cool
While I'm losin you
I'll buy you anything
I'll buy you any ring
Cause I'm in pieces
so come fix me
shake me til' you can wake me from this bad dream*
I'm goin down, down, dooown
*everybody!*
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I thought you'd always be mine (mine)
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby ohh
I thought you'd always be mine
You can give me all of your love
just this time it wont be enough
Nobody told me this day would come
Now I'm all gone
You can give me all of your love
just this time it wont be enough
Nobody told me this day would come
I wa- I was like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I'm like
Baby, baby, baby noo
I thought you'd always be mine (mine)
I can't wait to see the Iron Man 2 in theaters. You see, I'm a type who is fond of watching free movies online but when good movies like this comes my way, I really would not mind paying P400 bucks for a movie date. I saw the first Iron Man through a downloaded file on my MP5 player and I must say I really love the story line and the effects in the movie. It's about a genius engineer Tony Stark who suffers a severe heart injury during a kidnapping in which his captors attempt to force him to build a massively destructive weapon. He instead creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. It is the same armor he used to fight against terrorism. I'm so excited to watch the second part of the story, I can't wait!
Here's a the much awaited movie Iron Man 2 Trailer:
The National Historical Institute again made a complain about how the National Anthem of the Philippines had been sung this time by Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda on the recently concluded Manny Pacquiao- Joshua Clottey fight held last March 13 in Dallas Texas.
Rumors are spreading that NHI (National Historical Institute) decided to pursue a case against Arnel Pineda as he alledgedly did not follow the original music arrangement of the Philippine National Anthem "Lupang
Wahhh, I came home at around 11 am the same morning Manny Pacquiao was about to fight Joshua Clottey. It's just so happen that Bayantel cut off our dsl the night before the fight. I immediately called their customer service and the representative told me that the payment I made through EON Card was not reflected on their database and they have no choice but to cut it off. Whatda! Why only now?! Tomorrow would be the Pacquiao Clottey Fight and if they cut off my dsl - it means I have to wait for GMA 7's telecast which
Last night, since my rest day, I with my hubby tried watching a movie online. I know this website that provides different links to a different video streaming sites and that is normally where we get to see the latest movies. Since we normally picked horror/suspense thriller type of movie...we opt to pick a drama movie and give it a try. I never knew that a movie about a dog would literally made me cry a river! It's already 2 am that time and believe me, I can't stop myself from crying. It's a simple story of a friendship between a man and a dog. On loyalty and friendship. I never knew a dog could be as loyal as that. The name of the movie is Hachi and the main actor is the very handsome Richard Gere. The story happened in real life and that what made it extra special. If you can find time to watch this beautiful movie, please do so. I bet, like me, you wouldn't be able to hold back your tears and be touched by how this dog touched the hearts of many people. Here's the story...
"In 1924, Hachikō was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Mr. Ueono, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo. During his owner's life Hachikō saw him off from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return on the usual train one evening. The professor had suffered a stroke at the university that day. He died and never returned to the train station where his friend was waiting.
Yehey! Another victory for the Filipino people as Manny Pacquiao won over Miguel Cotto!
The fight is so intense and I bet most of the viewers are really satisfied with how well Manny manages to fight the Puerto Rico's pride with such intensity. Filipino Champion Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) stopped WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs) in round twelve to win another world title in an unprecedented seventh weight division on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. I was able to find a channel in Sopcast that showcases the fight through live video streaming (thanks sopcast!) The quality of the video is clear and what's best is that there's no lag or buffering needed!
My friend and officemate pretty Dianne aka Dara asked me through our usual lunch chitchat if I've already seen the latest video she've posted on her multiply account. Since I rarely check my multiply, friendster and facebook account - I really don't have any idea on what it's all about. Through her voice, I can hear excitement and pride and she enthusiastically talked about Sandara Park. She said Sandara already made it big in Korea and now a Superstar. She also said Sandara (or Dara) in now a part of a newly launched girl band named 2NE1. She said Sandara was transformed into a total performer who knows how to act, sing and dance. I really can't believe it. The Sandara Park I've known was a teenage superstar here in the Philippines who does'nt have a talent. I once saw her movie with her former boyfriend Joseph Bitangcol "The Lucky Ones" and though the entire movie is really funny - I was'nt able to notice Sandara's acting at all. She is really persuading me to take a look at it and just to please her (sorry Dee, hehe), I promised to take a look at it once I got home. And true enough , I was amazed on what I saw. I never thought the Sandara Park I've known through the Philippine local television would transform into what she is right now. See for yourself and let me know what you think. Is'nt she pretty?!
I stumble upon this entry on YOUTUBE and I was really shocked. It tackles something about Inaki Ting, one of the scolars in Pinoy Dream Academy. Actually, I became a fan of the show as I really want Jet to win before and since na chorva na sya...si Hansen na naging crush ko. Hehehee. Anyways, I do have one kinakaasaran din sa kanila and that is Inaki. At first, bumilib din ako sa kanya because he had his own "arranged" piece of Summer Breeze kaso nairita ako when he had this gimmick about seeing Laarni being possesed with a spirit whatsoever. Okey lang yun, kaso...umiyak pa sya na parang baby damulag. What would Laarni have to do? Sige nga ikaw kaya, sabihan ka na
May laban ka? Sa posing pa lang...wala nang binatbat ang ibang delegates. Grabe. Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza — was named Ms. Universe at the 57th annual 2008 pageant, held in Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 13. Actually our tv was set to channel two Monday morning kaso busing busy ang lola nyo sa kakablog kaya diko na namalayan ang mga pangyayari. Crowd favorite daw talaga yang si Ms. Venezuela and intelligent daw si ate, biruin mo ang tanong is "How can you explain the difference between men and women?" aba ang sagot ni ate...“Men think that the fastest way to go to a point is to go straight. Women know that the faster way to go to a point is to go to the curves.” Wow, panalo! Kudos!
Ang hindi ko maintindihan is that in 2 consecutive years...lagi nalang nadadapa ang mga Amerikanang contestant. Check out this video which was shot last year nung napaupo si Ms. USA Rachel Smith sa evening gown competition...
and see the similarity nung napaluhod naman si Ms. USA 2008 Crystal Stewart habang inirarampa nya ang kanyang evening gown...
We've won the Ms. Photogenic award last year through Anna Theresa Licaros kaya keri narin... Anyways, Congrats ng Bonggang Bongga Ms. Venezuela...you deserve the title kasi pretty ka naman talaga ... Mabuhey!
