How Typhoon Pedring Hits Ortigas Area

Furious Typhoon Pedring

This is actually a view from the 25th floor of Robinson's Equitable Tower. It was 6:30 am and while all of my teammates have gone home... here I am stuck at the sleeping lounge waiting for hubby to pick me up. I was supposed to go home alone that morning because Jaja, my travel companion will not go to her boyfriend's house in Cubao and instead will be going home to their house in Libis. I am ready to face typhoon Pedring and go home by hook or by crook but I didn't expect that the wind is roaring and there is not much people walking along the Robinsons Galleria aisle because of the strong wind. I tried battling against this typhoon and tried walking against the wind twice but it's too strong for me. So I texted my hubby and asked him to fetch me here at the office. In as much as I wanted to go home early, I was left with no choice because I'm afraid a part of a roof or any hard object might hit me while walking against these terrible wind. Since I would be stuck here in the office for the next one hour, I decided to subscribe to the Globe's UALLPLUS25 promo wherein you could have unlimited texts for all network providers and free one hour consumable net surfing through phone. It was the first time I'll gonna surf the internet through my phone using Globe's minutes and I was so happy I tried. Read several blogs and lost track of time. Before I knew it, I already received a text message from hubby that he is waiting for almost 15 minutes now downstairs and is already waiting for me. Before I left, I took a picture of how typhoon Pedring hit Ortigas area through the lounge's window...it was horrifying. Hopefully, those people affected would be able to survive this another Philippine calamity.

PHILIPPINE ELECTION 2010

Any time now meron na tayong bagong president. Hmmm...malamang si Noynoy pero I didn't realized na si former president Erap would come up second. My hubby came out to vote yesterday ng mga 8am and grabe, almost 12 na sya nakauwi because of the pila daw. Grabe daw crowded sa school kung saan sya nagcast ng vote. Sobrang init and sobrang uhaw daw sya and sobrang kulob daw ang maaamoy mo and you have no choice but singhutin ang amoy ng katabi mo dahil hindi ka makakaalis sa pila. We're actually texting while nakapila sya and he told me his situation. I actually urged him to go home na lang when he said mga one hour pa bago sya makaboto dahil sobrang bagal daw ng usad ng pila. He told me na konting tiis pa daw sya because I know he is excited to experience the new process and gusto nya mafeel ang PCOS machine hehe. While he's gone, I've watched the news and saw the situation. Grabe nga ang pila and you can tell how irritable yung mga tao while waiting for their turn to vote. Isang napansin ko sa election ay ang ginawa ni Noynoy Aquino, it took him almost four hours sa pila bago makaboto! And sobra pang natouch ako sa sinabi nya when he was asked bakit pumila pa siya..he said na dapat daw kung gusto ng isang tao na mamuno...dapat matuto rin syang sumunod. Very well said diba. I think in general successful naman ang

Expect Blackouts in the Metro

MANILA, Philippines - As the country struggles to rise from the devastation of storms “Ondoy” and “Pepeng,” Metro Manila and Rizal province are facing long power outages after a fire forced the shutdown of a power transformer in Taytay last Wednesday.

The rotating blackouts that the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) had hoped to end today are expected to drag on after three of its substations tripped “due to critical loading and in its attempt to shift load” to compensate for the shutdown of the Dolores substation of the National Grid Corp. of the Philipines (NGCP).

Meralco said the development “will result in longer duration of power outages in affected areas.”
Meralco, in a statement, said the three substations that conked out were Mandaluyong, Hillcrest and SM-Shangri-La.

“Both the NGCP and Meralco are doing everything to restore normal state of power,” the Meralco statement read. “

We beg your indulgence for this inconvenience.”

Eleven cities and towns in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal province were subjected to rotating blackouts yesterday. Meralco had targeted to restore normal power today but its substations tripped.

The blackouts yesterday lasted three to four hours each twice a day in Makati, Marikina, Mandaluyong, Pasig, San Juan and parts of Quezon City, and Binangonan, Taytay, Angono, Cainta, and Antipolo City in Rizal. Marikina, Pasig and adjacent areas have been experiencing blackouts in the past two weeks due to floods left by tropical storm Ondoy.

Cashless Society Foretold

Just received an email from my long lost friend Shai. Grabe, iba na talaga ang mundo ngayon. Soon, the prophecy on the Bible would come true about the second coming of Christ and one of those would be having a cashless society. Eto na, unti unti nang nagiging inconvenient for people ang paggamit ng pera...just like here Zimbabwe where using money is such a burden so that people will be forced to use ATM Cards or Credit Cards instead of money - and maybe in the future a microchip planted in the wrist! Remember the prophecy...

Revelation 13:16-17
"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."

In this world, everybody is rushing and chasing for the money....

Some people fighting and killing each others just because of money...

In Zimbabwe , all the peoples having a lot of money but they're poor....

WHY ??
500 million note, just printed in May 2008.....everybody can have it....maybe just nice for 1 breakfast/lunch (equal to about USD 2)

Everybody is billionaire.........

To buy food in plastic packet......you have to spend at least 10 million

To buy vegetables.....5 million

Typhoon Frank Caught Manila by Surprise!

Grabe yung typhoon Frank noh! I had my shift at that time from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am and when we went down the building to accompany a friend who'll gonna have her yosi break at around 4:00 am, nagulat ako kasi sobra yung hangin pero natawa ako kasi it seems like party mood yung mga tao sa baba na nagyoyosi at parang ang saya saya nila kasi may bagyo. weird. Although we all know that by hook or by crook... kahit bumaha pa ang buong Metropolitan Manila eh never masususpend ang work namin because our clients are in the States. Haay.

Anyways, buti na lang my ever loyal bodyguard Jojo fetched me at around 7:00 am. Kaso di parin kami makauwi that time since sobrang lakas ng hangin. Even my officemates are stranded. So we have no choice but to wait for the perfect time para makatawin sa Holiday Inn where there is more possibility na may makuha kaming taxi. While waiting, nakikita namin kung pano hagupitin ni Frank ang mga billboards, we counted kung ilang payong ang bumaligtad sa harap namin (7 all in all) and ilang employees ng Convergys na pumasok sa office na parang basang sisiw. After 30 long minutes of wait, we've decided to take our chance. We feel na di naman talaga huhupa ang hangin kaya tumakbo na lang kami papuntang kabilang building. Luckily, may taxing dumaan but when Jojo asked if he could take us to Munoz he said we need to add php 30 kasi baha. AMP! Especially pag ganitong bumabagyo, nagsisilabasan talaga ang mga @#z@^@9! Well, we have no choice since I really want to go home na so pumayag na kami. Inisip ko rin na kawawa naman si manong na kailangan pang magtrabaho eventhough its raining really hard. Pag uwi namin sa bahay...no electricity, no dial tone, and worst...no dsl! noooh! I have a deadline today and ok lang yung isa lang but 3 reviews! I am praying really hard na marestore yung dsl that same day but unfortunately, hindi nangyari. Kinabukasan pa ng hapon nagkaroon ng dsl kaya nagkapatong patong na yung tasks ko.

"i want to save my soul...."

I am always looking forward to see the live telecast of the Senate of the ongoing Senate hearing regarding the ZTE scandal. Like many of us, I also want to know the facts straight from the horse's mouth - I want to see for myself who are those people who are running out of words because of their lies and those who confidently answers the questions because they are speaking out of their own personal knowledge and experiences. It's good that Sky Cable already installed and activated their service on our house because our tv (without cable connection) is a solid kapamilya - channel 2 (other channels reception are blurred and foggy).

So I woke up early, did my morning routine, cooked my lunch and waited for the live feed of the senate from ANC. While watching, I'm doing my bead collection (comprises of necklace, earing and bracelet) that I will later give as a present to my friends as a post valentine gift.
