Last night, since my rest day, I with my hubby tried watching a movie online. I know this website that provides different links to a different video streaming sites and that is normally where we get to see the latest movies. Since we normally picked horror/suspense thriller type of movie...we opt to pick a drama movie and give it a try. I never knew that a movie about a dog would literally made me cry a river! It's already 2 am that time and believe me, I can't stop myself from crying. It's a simple story of a friendship between a man and a dog. On loyalty and friendship. I never knew a dog could be as loyal as that. The name of the movie is
Hachi and the main actor is the very handsome Richard Gere. The story happened in real life and that what made it extra special. If you can find time to watch this beautiful movie, please do so. I bet, like me, you wouldn't be able to hold back your tears and be touched by how this dog touched the hearts of many people. Here's the story...
"In 1924, Hachikō was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Mr. Ueono, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo. During his owner's life Hachikō saw him off from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return on the usual train one evening. The professor had suffered a stroke at the university that day. He died and never returned to the train station where his friend was waiting.
