Paul's Teeth Team Lunch

Last Friday, our team had the chance to eat out with our dear TL Paul. It's a very rare chance as our coach don't normally go out with us, which we understand. Its been a tradition for the team to eat out especially after shift during paydays and this payday is not an exemption. We normally do that not just to unwind but to also spend time with each other and bond and I am so glad that TL made it extra special. We ate at Chef de Angelo and most of us ordered a plate of chicken, carbonara, and pizza plus red iced tea. The portions are huge (no wonder why they call their fried chicken Big Bird - LOL) and everybody was surprised to see leftover food on my plate and ate only half of what was served. I don't know why but lately, I just don't feel like eating. Maybe its the effect of Zhen de Zhou which I religiously take 30 minutes before breakfast. The entire experience was great and we were laughing all the time. I am looking forward for every payday not just because of the money we'll gonna get but because I know that I again would have a chance to enjoy a hearty meal with my wonderful teammates. Go go go Paul's Teeth! For more lunch dates to come!

A NOT SO ORDINARY MOTHER

It's mother's day again and I would like to take this opportunity to greet all the mothers in the world a "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" especially to my dearest mother. Though my mom is really not a typical mother who often says "I love you" to her children or someone who calls them "anak" as a term of endearment...I know through her actions, she really loves us. I am not sure why mama is not they showy type of mother who would normally shows her emotions...maybe because of all the trials she've been through which makes her tough inside and out. Mom fell in love twice and failed twice as well. She managed to be a father and a mother for all of us her 4 children. She rarely spends time with us as she needs to work so we can have something to eat at the end of the day...though she would make it a point to be there for us during special occassions such as our Birthdays, Graduation Days, Christmas and New Year. She is not the typical mom who loves to cook-she only knows a couple of dishes but he specialty would be pinakbet and pancit bihon. She loves gardening and spends most of her time with her hobby. She is jolly and easy to deal with type of person - no wonder she has so many friends and most people wants to be close to her as she transmits positive vibes. She is a blessing not only to me but to hundred more people whose hearts she've touched. She's my mother - not a perfect one -but the best mother I could ever have. If I have to pick the qualities of a mother I would like to have for my own, I would pick all her qualities that made me the way I am right now. I love her so much and I hope I was able to show her how much I appreciate her. Happy Mother's Day Mama!

First Day of Work

Though I really don't approve to it, Jojo finally accepted his sister's offer to help her manage their new catering business. Her "lucky" sister-who married a former Congressman and a Chinese businessman-decided to put up her own catering business and hired Jojo as her assistant. Call me selfish but I would prefer Jojo to be a stay at home professional than to again accept a job that would require him 8 hours of his time. Though he is still making money for us doing online jobs and helping me through my blogs...he feels he is not contributing enough to our finances so he decided to finally take his sister's offer. He will be supervising 3 staff plus the cook in the morning till afternoon and her sister will be the one to take over on the 2nd part of the shift. Actually, I agreed to his plan only after realizing that it would also be convenient for both of us...I work at 4am to 1pm and he would be working from 6am to 3pm plus their branch is just within Munoz area so time would not be a problem for us. I agreed to his plan because I know, though he is not complaining, that he also wants to have a life of his own. He knows that he is the Man of the House and he should be the one to provide for us. I am very proud of my husband...I can't ask for more...

Single and Searching

My friend Melai just came from a short vacation and she called me on my cel just to inform me that she do have something for me. I sooo love this girl. She is a kind of friend I intend to keep in my life forever. I just have one prayer for her because until now, she is still searching for her soulmate..and since she is like a sister to me, I feel that what concerns her concerns me too that's why I am always looking for ways for her to meet new friends. One time, I told her about miami singles , a portal for Miami girls and guys who are searching love on the net. It's an easy to use site which lets you create free profile and let you upload photos, let you send instant messages and even join Audio/video chatroom among others. It's the best site for people looking for their soulmates in Miami. I hope she can find the love of her life through that site.

First Day of Workout

I did it! At last, I've made the hardest first step! I with my friend Mamu had our workout a while ago and I may say... I feel good! We met at around 2 PM because Mamu is late! I am already inside the bus thinking he won't come to our meeting place but thank God he texted me saying he is already on his way so I hurriedly went out of the bus and waited for him at Robinsons Galleria. Worked on the treadmill for 30 minutes but since the gym is already full packed - we decided to just stay at the sauna room for another 30 minutes. After the workout, my friend paid for our dinner @ Maxs. We ordered a very light meal, batchoy and calamansi juice. I really felt refreshed and I would definitely make it a point to go to the gym at least 3x a week. Lord help me.

PS:
I am now currently weighing 180 lbs...I hope I can lose these extra 50 lbs I have. I know it's almost impossible to make it in 3 months but I am still praying. Wish me luck!

For My Future Baby

Lately I feel so tired and I am always sleepy. I don't know why. I don't think I am pregnant as I just got my period last week...what I am thinking is that it has something to do with my weight. I am now weighing almost 170 lbs and this is the heaviest I've been in my entire life. I don't like my body, I don't like myself with this body...that's why I've decided to enroll myself in a gym. I will do this not just for myself but also for my future baby. I want to be a mother hopefully next year and it would be hard for my baby (to be) if he would be living inside his mother's fat tummy for 9 months. I want to do this, I need to do this. I know I can lose these extra 40 lbs I have this year. Wish me luck!
